Save The Date!
This year Tri-City Volunteers is excited to be a part of East Bay Gives, a one-day online fundraising event on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. This event, hosted by East Bay Community Foundation, connects caring individuals like you to charitable causes that are doing good and making an impact in our local community.
Currently Tri-City Volunteers serves more than 6,000 families needing nutritional support in the Tri-City Area as well as neighboring Alameda County cities. Within those families, 60% are from Fremont alone; trying to make ends meet in a rising economy, and 30% of our population are seniors on a fixed income that will be dependent on TCV for the rest of their lives.
With May 5th rapidly approaching, we would like to ask for your support in three ways:
1. Mark your calendar for May 5th
2. Like us on Facebook to stay connected
3. Share our Facebook page with friends to help us spread the word about Tri-City Volunteers and our participation in East Bay Gives
We hope that you will support us during this time and team up with us to raise funds to continue our fight to end hunger.
For more information please contact our Office Coordinator, Gloria Lara glara@tri-cityvolunteers.org .
With much gratitude,
Tri-City Volunteers
Got baskets?
This spring season, Tri-City Volunteers is having an Easter Basket Drive to be able to provide children with Easter goodies in the Tri-City area. We recently received a large amount of small toy donations perfect for Easter baskets- but we need YOUR help!
We are asking the community to donate empty baskets or cellophane bags to be able to provide the 1,500 children that received Christmas toys an Easter basket this upcoming month. We were only able to provide 55 families and 119 children with Easter baskets and goodies this past Easter, and we hope to be able to provide the same assistance to our local children.
Tri-City volunteers serves all low-income residents of Alameda County with many of our clients coming from migrant families, are under-employed or facing unemployment due to disability, a lack of relevant work skills, or other barriers. Tri-City Volunteers is located at 37350 Joseph Street, Fremont, CA 9436. If you have questions regarding Easter basket donations, please call (510) 793 – 4583.
