Tri-City Voluteers gets $10,000 from Cargill for high protein foods for families!
For Tri-City Volunteers clients, the cost of implementing protein into everyday food consumption is one that is more and more difficult to keep up with. Protein is a specific nutritional requirement that many of our clients are unable to consume as much as it is needed. The price of high protein foods such as turkey and chicken continues to be a significant barrier to local health and prosperity created by a struggling economy and poor job market.
With this amazing help from Cargill we will be able to provide families with high protein foods that will be essential for a child’s bone growth, strong immune systems, among other benefits.
Thanks Cargill for all that you do for the community and your support of Tri-City Volunteers!
