Board Chair

Denise has dedicated her career to helping individuals access essential services and build pathways to self-sufficiency. After retiring, she and her husband began volunteering with TCV as Mobile Pantry drivers, where they witnessed firsthand the impact of providing food and support to neighbors in need. Denise joined the Board of Directors because she is passionate about ensuring that every member of the Tri-City community has access to nutritious food and vital resources. When not volunteering, Denise enjoys spending time with her granddaughter, traveling and giving back to the community she proudly calls home.

Karl is a business and corporate attorney with the San Jose firm, Hoge Fenton, Jones & Appel. He is a longtime Fremont resident and has been a TCV board member since 2012.

Board Treasurer

Mike has been a TCV Food Bank board member for over 10 years and has served as Treasurer during this time, providing financial support, oversight, and guidance to the organization. Mike spent his career in finance/accounting for both public and private high-tech companies, and most recently, was CFO for a startup company in the healthcare space. Mike has enjoyed being on the front lines helping those in need and being part of a team whose purpose is to work towards eliminating hunger in the Tri-City area.

Brad considers himself to be a very lucky and blessed guy. He has been part of the Fremont Tri-City community for the past 50 years and a member of the TCV Board for the past 3 years. He loves life and enjoys spending time with his family.

Board Member

After her corporate career, Hema dedicated her time to a variety of non-profit organizations focused on strengthening communities and expanding opportunities for underserved populations. She served for many years as a domestic violence survivor advocate in the Bay Area and as a site coordinator for a free tax preparation program that helped more than 3,000 families receive approximately $2.5 million in tax refunds and credits. She is passionate about providing resources and empowering communities throughout the Bay Area.

Board Member

Dr. Jonathan Pettey is a leadership scholar, former public utility manager and firefighter. He has nonprofit governance experience as a human relations commissioner and as a former federally qualified health center board member, as well as prior public health advocacy work in Alameda County. Dr. Pettey's career has been in service of others.

Lucia serves on the TCV Board because it's a meaningful way to support individuals and families facing food insecurity in our community. She is passionate about ensuring everyone has access to nutritious food and essential resources while working alongside dedicated volunteers, staff, and community partners to create lasting impact. Lucia is committed to advancing TCV's work of fostering hope, dignity, and a stronger, more connected community.

Lucy is the Director of Development, Community Relations at Bay Area Community Health, where she leads fundraising, community engagement, marketing, communications, volunteer services, and strategic partnerships. She has earned associate degrees from Ohlone College, a bachelor's degree from California State University, East Bay, and a Master of Public Administration from Golden Gate University. In addition to TCV, she serves on the board of Avanzando, Inc., reflecting her lifelong commitment to community service and improving the health and well-being of underserved populations.

Matt Snelson has served on the TCV Board for over 10 years and is committed to supporting efforts that provide food security and essential resources to individuals and families in need throughout the Tri-City community. As a longtime Fremont resident and public servant, Matt is passionate about strengthening community partnerships, promoting volunteerism, and helping ensure every neighbor has access to necessities. He is honored to contribute to the organization's mission of serving those facing food insecurity with dignity and compassion.

Anju Sharma

Volunteer and Partnerships Manager

Anju recruits, trains, and supports volunteers while building relationships with corporate partners to strengthen the food bank's mission. She loves bringing people together and enjoys seeing volunteers make a meaningful difference in the lives of families in the community. Since joining TCV, Anju has enjoyed working alongside dedicated volunteers and partners to help expand TCV's impact. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and trying new recipes.

Warehouse and Facilities Manager

Jim joined TCV as a volunteer when his daughter needed community service hours for high school. He loved it so much he continued to volunteer and then joined the staff in 2019. He runs our warehouse like a well-oiled machine and oversees all TCV's various maintenance and construction projects. His favorite thing about working at TCV is interacting with people. Outside of work, Jim is a proud girl dad and loves spending time with his family.

Program and Development Administrator

Joseph joined TCV in 2025, bringing a diverse background in housing services, technology support, community farming, and most recently, healthcare. His passion for supporting underserved communities is rooted in his lived experiences and a genuine commitment to helping others. In his free time, you'll likely find Joseph enjoying a dark comedy series, exploring new hiking trails, or on a mission to findβ€”and eatβ€”all the candy he can.

Community Programs Manager

Kathryn oversees the Joseph St. Marketplace and other food distribution programs which serve individuals and families throughout Fremont, Newark, and Union City. Kathryn partners with local organizations to make sure people have access to nutritious food and the resources they need. She enjoys producing programs that benefit the community's needs and help make a positive difference in people's lives.

Executive Director

Linda believes everyone deserves food and brings a commitment to social justice and service to her role leading TCV's mission. She grew up in a first-generation immigrant household and is passionate about empowering people with the tools and resources they need to thrive. Linda's work is also informed by her Masters in Public Health and over a decade of nonprofit leadership experience. Outside of work, she loves eating delicious food and playing with other peoples' dogs.

Tao McHaney

Warehouse Driver

Tao started volunteering at TCV in 1983 and has been on staff since 1989, covering a wide range of responsibilities. Currently, he is the one who brings us all the goodies from our grocery store partners, among many other duties. His favorite thing about working at TCV is the opportunity help people every day. In his spare time, Tao loves to paint and create music.
