We offer fresh, nutritious groceries free of charge to Alameda County residents who meet these income requirements. First time shoppers will be asked to bring an ID to sign up for a TCV card.

*we do not issue new cards on Fridays*

Our Mission

Reaching hunger where it lives in the Tri-Cities.

Founded in 1970 by community volunteers, TCV Food Bank + Mobile Pantry (Tri City Volunteers) continues to support our food insecure neighbors in Fremont, Union City, and Newark. Today we serve 1,500 families each week with the help of our friendly and compassionate team of volunteers.

Our work is only possible because of the kind and dedicated volunteers who generously donate their time. No experience needed — just a willingness to help.

Volunteers must be 14 or older; those under 16 must be accompanied by an adult guardian. We do not accept court-mandated volunteers.

Volunteers are essential to making our families feel welcome and receive the support they need with dignity and respect. You will help welcome clients, restock food, and answer questions.

Mobile Pantry Sorter & Packer

Mobile pantry packers count and pack all the food we send out into the community. This role is essential to ensuring that each mobile site is well stocked with high quality food.

Mobile Pantry Driver
Mobile Pantry Driver

Drivers transport food and supplies, assist with unloading as needed, and support the Mobile Pantry team to ensure distributions run smoothly. This volunteer shift is typically up to two hours in length and plays an essential role in bringing nutritious food to clients who might not otherwise be able to get here. Must be 25 or older.
